1965 Mustang - Disassembly
As seen the car arrived in pieces ready for a re-body. Time to sort through the parts and pick the best.
Original fenders, NOS, Taiwan Repro and yes- "DYNA CORN" or AKA Bogus parts.
The market is flooded with repro parts for Mustangs and if you choose the wrong parts it can cost you many more hours to restore a car. Ford parts are the best but they do not make every part so import has to be hand picked through.
Basket case or what?
Panel after panel and years of accumulation the customer has been busy procuring for his Mustangs' restoration.
Trunks, doors fenders etc
The original doors are rusted on the back side but more then likely they will still fit the car better then a repro part as far as panel to panel and overall consistent gaps. The gapping process is more time consuming then rusted sections to replace so we will base our decisions on fit as most important. A comparison will need to be done.
