1972 Firebird - Misc Work
The old Master cylinder and brake booster hits the hood slightly so we are going to change it to a smaller billet unit for clearance and looks.
We installed a better after market shifter from B&M
Brackets had to be made to accept and hold the shifter in place in the center of the console.
The Radiator although new was still stripped and blasted before zinc chromate and paint was applied.
Zinc chromate is the ultimate aerosol primer for adhesion used on aviation parts for 50 years.
Every part is rebuilt and or replaced with new parts including the window mechanism rollers.
The passenger side inner fender apron has to be removed to service the blower motor so we opted to make a cut out and cover to service it in the future to keep from removing the fender.
Upgrades such as upper and lower control arms from Global west were installed to make the Bird Grip the road better.
Even the universal joints are detailed along with the drives haft.
Fitting tires and deciding on wheel size an d offset of rims is very importance for that road hugging look.
Here are a few parts to show our system. The same procedures are used for every part on the car. Suspension parts were replaced with new parts and then bead blasted and painted for a clean satin black look under the car.
Satin Black and ready to attach.
