The body comes off "see braces between the doors" On a convertible body this is vital to keep it from sagging. Time to restore the frame.
Take many pictures to keep a record of the frame before disassembly.
The frame is in pretty good condition.
Typical rust in various areas.
Drum brakes stop the 400 V8 as best they can.
Front frame is a showing signs of wear.
Coil springs, sway bar and control arm all rough.
This is a typical area that gets missed when you do not pull the body off the frame. As seen the body mount area is so rusted it is thin and has weakened the frame.
Dirty rusty etc we love our jobs.
The original chambered exhaust shows signs of wear.
First thing to do is coat the frame with stripper to remove all the undercoating and paint marks.
It actually cleaned up quite well.
Whoa-Bobby, spray that frame down.
Bob pulls up the frame in to position for Max turning radius on the rotator.
After repairs we blasted the frame white metal clean.
