63 Galaxie - Lines
As with any custom car or truck all the brake and fuel lines have to be custom built. When you are trying to hide them from site it is even more work to accomplish this feat. Making them serviceable is another important step. As seen the lines come out of the fuel tank and then a 90 fitting goes up to the trunk floor.
Some lines are made in stainless and others in Aluminum. As seen the fuel lines run from the inside trunk area then make a 90 to the left. Kugel Klamps hold everything in place.
Next they snake around the rear A/C brackets and head toward the front of the car.
We ran them through one of the channels in the interior that supports the floor system shown earlier. Two stainless flex lines will run up the edge of the fire wall to feed the fuel injection system.
The brake lines also run front to back inside the floor channel but the driver side lines run through the fire wall first then up and around the trans tunnel to the passenger side.
As seen the brake lines run up and around the trans tunnel to get to the passenger side before entering through the channel system under the floor metal.
A close up shows the Coolant and A/C lines that run to the trunk. The customer will drive this car in the desert area so front and rear A/C is a must.
Many unusual bends are done. This will be covered by the splash pan and or fender apron we will build later.
In addition the air lines were run inside the floor tubing then they exit down to their respective Air Ride shocks.
