57 Chevy - Body Sanding
The initial body work, block sanding and then to the primer blocking is a vital part of the process. In addition, curing is extremely important and must take place between rounds of blocking and priming. All primers and fillers have to cure as they shrink back with time and if they are not given that time to sit and cure you will see waves and ripples in your finish 6 months after painting.
Every curve, shape and gap is gone over to assure we have it straight.
The fitting of the trunk to tail pan is an often over looked section on a 55 thru 57 Chevy. As seen consistent gaps thru-out
Using custom made extra long and double wide blocks we achieve what very few have ever done. The straightest bodies possible. "see our finished work in the gallery section

The dash panel is no exception with a gapped out ash tray, glove box lid, odometer, A/C vents and all the trim fitting exact.
Jeff gets in some "prime time" to help the project run as smooth as possible.
Nat uses round contoured blocks on many areas of a Classic Chevy as they have many concave and convex shapes.
Nat is using a double wide long block to blend the doors in to the fenders. She is looking good.
