57 Chevy - Assembly
Measuring, cutting, fitting, sound deadener coming along.
Ever coat sound deadener was applied completely to the car to quiet the 57 down.
Parts have been fabricated, fitted and then painted so it is time to assemble the car. This is when you have to be careful with masking off items to protect from scratches and wearing vinyl gloves to protect against the moisture on one's hands from tarnishing all the finished parts. The Billet master cylinder is installed and ready for some braking.
Highly detailed " FUELIE" 350 has the nostalgic look like an original 57 fuel injected engine had.
Rack and pinion awaits the test drive coming.
Detailed undercarriage in satin black looks great.
Antenna gets fit and tweaked to dead on also.
Drilled, note the tape which keeps the finish from any damage in the event of a slip. Steel chips are stuck to the tape automatically.
Lead fittings and soldered joints for permanent parts.
We make our own cables to fit each custom project.
Clamps holding all wires etc in place.
Rear mounted battery is in place and unseen behind the rear seat and trunk panel.
The dash panel was trimmed back a bit to allow the aluminum insert to fit better.
Brand new trim often comes in bent because of bad packaging techniques or shipping abuse. These are some of the problems we encounter fixing other peoples mistakes and responsibilities.
Lays down nice and starting to come to herself.
Like sweet perfume she smells of quality.
Next the odometer gets hooked up so we can start the motor.
Oh yes she is in.
Air box to install next as we modified to a ram air for the plenum.
Disc brake up grades.
Up inside we go.
She fits good with no trimming.
We needed to check the computer before starting and run some tests.
Nat preps the rear window edges with some final polishing to get her ready for the front and rear glass install.
Eric installs the glass.
Front glass and trim installed.
Looks great.
Polished to perfection.
Wiper estusions also have to fit right.
Steering column assembly next.
Turn signal lever, canceling cam etc all installed.
Looks good.
Ready to install.
Short Borgeson joint sprayed in satin black to draw minimum attention.
Dash and column look great.
Inside engine bay looks good.
Radiator and condensor all in and ready
