1936 Truck - Steering Box
The steering box has made a few turns in its life but its due for a major overhaul. Can you say " Nasty"
We media blasted the housing after de-greasing then primed.
No gasket kits for a vehicle this old so we have to make them from scratch.
Silicone grease will do the job.
New gasket is in place.
Bolted back together she is ready to go.
Jack fixes every potential oil/lube leak he can by applying epoxy inside where the axle tubes and housing come together
He also applies it to the factory rivets inside the tube where the rear ends tends to seep oil.
Mega axle bolts need attention.
Lined up and ready our bolt and nut holders make short work of the blasting process. Glass beaded for a smooth finish.
Glass beaded and copper wire hooked they are ready to be cad plated and polished
Straight out of the cad tank they have a frosted look and need to be steel wooled to smooth them over.
Satin clear for protection against the elements.
