1936 Truck - Project Start
The 36 is all there but the body panel fit is typical of a 30's truck. As seen the hood sits up with a 3/4 inch gap. Check out the multiple dents in the fenders.
The body was a piece of art though and very stylish.
Trucks have always been worked and used for producing income. The roads were rough back then compared to today's smooth high ways which put an extra burden on a Truck. The passenger fender has been pushed pulled and whacked many places. Original Dark Green paint still has a bit of shine. She will be painted Washington Blue and Black when we are done.
Being that it is 99 % complete helps us understand correctness.
Paint is a bit thin in a few areas but overall pretty solid.
Couple of creases and dents
The running boards probably took more abuse and wear than any other part.
The frame and suspension is badly pitted and in need of much attention.
She is so long it will not fit on our lift.
Someone added tail lights at one time in the 50's or 60"s which is incorrect for the period.
Massive rear end houses the gears for this1.5 ton beast.
