1928 International Truck - Body Panel Fabrication
The original body panels were dented beyond use along with the wood structures so we have to rebuild them from scratch. No kits available when your talking this old. As seen we used tubing to create the correct size bend.
Clamped in place they look great and fit well.
The tough area is the inside door jamb edge. As seen the flange requires screws to hold it place and all must be evenly spaced.
The same goes for the bottom section and they came out nice.
A little bit of hammer and dolly work to refine the corners was needed.
Including bending the edge over to form a wire bead.
A bit of zinc chromate primer was sprayed on for protection.
As seen we have a separation line from the lower and upper haves as per the original body.
This trim was built out of aluminium just like the original style pieces and will be placed directly over the separation line.
